20 miles from the North edge of Fort Wayne, IN. Large Asian pear and apple crop this year.

We temporarily removed all the bags of apples from the parking lot refrigerator. Will put them back once it warms up , probably after next week. 1/2 bushels are $30, available from the walk in cooler, call 260-442-2996 for info.

You-Pick Info:
Open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 for You-Pick.
You can come at other times if you 1st make an appointment with Rachel 260-442-2996. When you arrive, we will give you a 1/2 bushel bag, and a wagon to go into the orchard and pick. Apples are $30 an 1/2 bushel, Asian pears are $50 an 1/2 bushel. There is a 1/2 bushel minimum for you pick. Payment is cash only, and before you enter the orchard.
Current apple varieties on the trees:
Jonagold - Jonathon/Golden delicious cross.
Mutsu - very large green apple from Japan.
Cortland - flesh does not brown. A few still on the trees.
Snow Sweet - flesh does not brown.
Melrose - popular in Ohio.
Pixie Crunch, a small red apple from Purdue.
Stellar, a yellow apple, this was an experimental release.
Hudson Golden Gem - has a rough skin like a potato, pear flavor.

Empire

Almost ready apples:
Goldrush - great to eat, and a great cider apple.
Fuji - almost ready, we grow two varieties of Fuji.
Florina - from a French breeding program.

Ready mid to late October:
Enterprise - large and deep red.
Wine Crisp
Arkansas Black - tart and very firm, deep purple in color.
Winesap - tart and very firm, deep red in color.

Red Delicious - A good apple when allowed to ripen on the tree.
