Someone is a proud new grandpa! Miss Penny delivered one healthy (big) baby girl this weekend, of course, while we were away at camp. Weighing in at 5.4 pounds, she is already almost as big as Sophie! Mom and baby are doing great! Can’t wait to see what this proud farm kid names his new baby!

Little man went to his new home today! The boys were sad to watch him go, but are happy with the home he went to, where he will play with new goat brothers, and lots of donkey friends!!

On baby watch over here for this big ole barrel belly!! Come on, Miss Penelope!!

Miss Sophia is doing so well out in the barn and being a goat! The boys (mainly Mason) have trained her to jump up the wall into their arms when it’s time for a bottle, which she will be weaned from next week!! She is catching up in size to her brother and sister, and will be getting new stall mates once her siblings move to their new homes! Thinking she will make good stall mates with Piper and Rowan 🥰

Little miss moved back out to the barn today. She has outgrown (learned to jump out of) her playpen inside the house, and it was realistically time to learn how to be a goat anyways. Only a goat can teach her how to eat hay and drink from a bucket…

In the past week, she has made ENORMOUS strides, including gaining an entire pound, which is a lot when you were born only weighing 1.5 pounds! She takes 3-4oz of milk at a time, and runs and jumps like a baby goat should.

However, because she is still so small, and because she hasn’t been fully accepted back into the family yet, we made a baby barrel to give her a place to warm up, at least until the temperature outside is warmer on a more consistent basis. Her and her siblings all love it, and go in and out as needed to warm up. Hopefully, not only will this help her survive the cold, but also help her bond with her siblings.
