A certified organic farm in Albion, ME We are a 400 acre certified organic farm in Albion, ME. Our fields are Certified Organic by Baystate Organic Certifiers.

We aim to produce all the components of a healthy, balanced diet within one thriving farm system. We use our own compost from animals and plants to enrich the soil and promote healthy pastures. Our compost is enlivened by Biodynamic preparations to encourage healthy microbial activity and create a balanced organic fertilizer. Our crops and animals move across the farm in a rotation. Now accepting 2026 Beef Side Reservations!

It’s the perfect time to secure your spot on the list to fill your freezer before winter. We start processing beef in October. A $300 deposit reserves your side.

Maine-Grown Organic Feed Available at Misty Brook Farm!

We have fresh batches of our 100% Maine-grown, organic, and soy-free feed and cover crop seed ready for you.

Here is what we currently have available:

Animal Feed Whole Grains:
Wheat Berries, Corn, Whole Barley, and Whole Oats (Misty Brook Farm)
Field Peas (Yost Farms)

Milled Feed Rations:
We also mill our own nutritionally balanced, soy-free mash right here on the farm.
Pig Mash: Peas, wheat, oats, barley, corn, and minerals.
Layer Hen Mash: Peas, wheat, corn, oats, Nutra Balancer, aragonite, alfalfa, and fish meal.

Ask about our new Broiler Mash.

Pricing & Ordering:
Our 50 lb. bags run between $34 and $36. If you need a larger quantity, just ask us about bulk pricing.

Cover Crop Seed:
Winter Rye & Oats: Priced at 37.50 for a 50 lb. bag, or .60/lb for 400+ lb. totes if you are buying in bulk.

Our weekly Farm Lunches have many benefits like: breaking bread together as a team, building menus that utilize local ingredients, supporting our community farmers, and being creative. We take turns and rotate so everyone who wants to can put their spin on what’s for lunch.

Last week’s lunch by Nick Ray was perfect on a hot summer’s day. Caesar Salad with Misty Brook Minute steak! Homemade Caesar dressing, Romaine Hearts from Pheonix and Megan O'Brien , some medium boiled Misty Brook Farm eggs, and the usual fixings!

Larb inspired Cabbage Rolls - Blanched Cabbage with seasoned Misty Brook Farm ground beef, rice and a tahini & chili crisp marinated cucumber and radish salad.

It’s official! Pickles’ twin calves are named Bread & Butter. Bread is all brown and Butter has the creamy face. They are both so beautiful! Thank you all for the name suggestions, they were so fun to read!

We’d like to take some time to thank everyone for returning their clean glass milk bottles in such great condition!

It really helps out our team and ensures you get your bottle deposit back for next time.

Our bottle return/deposit signs have been upgraded in the farm store to provide helpful tips for our new and old customers. Further guidelines about shopping, payment, and jar deposits are available at the self-checkout area in the store.
