Our grain to glass spirits are so close we can almost taste it! But first, WE NEED YOUR HELP to get us across the finish line. We've spent the last 3 years tirelessly learning, crafting, researching and developing spirits that we as farmers, can proudly stand behind. I don’t remember the first time I met them, nor the circumstances under which that meeting fell. That is not to say they were unassuming, or that the circumstances were necessarily dull or less than memorable. It is more to say that time spent with the Brugger boys is comfortable. Neither the first time or any subsequent times were out-of-the-ordinary enough to stand out as the first, or second for that matter. Time spent with them always has that underlying contentment that typically accompanies time spent with family or an old friend. Any moment I’ve spent in these brothers’ presence has been enjoyable to say the least. The Brugger boys are twin brothers a decade younger than me. They were born and raised in the small town of Albion, Nebraska on and around their family farm. In the time it takes to share a conversation with the pair of them, it becomes crystal clear that they’ve not spent any extended portion of their life away from each other. I can only assume there is a bond shared amongst twin siblings that runs a touch deeper than typical siblings and this particular set of twins is certainly no exception.

Always love to get some love from our alma matar 🖤

Matt and Joe Brugger always wanted to give back to their family farm and their hometown. While enrolled at Nebraska, the Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program provided them a path to make that happen and support along the way.

After graduating from the UNL College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, the business they started in college, Upstream Farms, is changing modern ag.

Today we reflect on challenges taken, lessons learned, and opportunities earned. We remind ourselves of the highs and lows, set backs and growth that has made us better caretakers of our land, animals, and customers alike.

We could not be more thankful for all that has been, and all that is to come. We can’t tell you how much we appreciate you all and how honored we are to have our beef, pork and honey (and soon wh***ey) be apart of your holiday.

Happy Birthday to the woman on right!

Emi has been such a huge support for our farm and distillery the last four years. Whether its working cattle, helping out with a big distillation day, or just keeping us on time and organized, we can always count on Emi. Not only is she and incredible wife and sister-in-law, we couldn’t ask for a better business partner.
