Perspective.
It’s all about perspective.
A baby.
A toddler.
A child.
A teenager.
An adult.
An elder.
Every stage of life brings a different view.
As babies, our biggest concerns are being fed, comforted, and cared for. We place complete trust in our parents to nurture us and meet our needs.
As toddlers, we become explorers. Everything is an adventure. We climb, we fall, we get back up, and we keep going. Each stumble teaches us something new.
As children, we begin looking ahead. We watch the adults around us and dream about the day we can do whatever we want. Stay up late. Watch grown-up movies. Eat all the candy we can find. We can’t wait for what comes next.
As teenagers, we begin to understand that our actions have consequences. The world starts to feel both exciting and intimidating. We stand at countless crossroads, making decisions that can shape the direction of our lives.
As adults, we realize the freedom we once longed for came with responsibilities we never imagined. The late nights we dreamed about become early mornings. The candy turns into doctor visits. The life we couldn’t wait to have suddenly moves faster than we expected. Before we know it, we are raising little explorers of our own.
Then one day, our hair turns gray, and we find ourselves looking back.
We remember the adventures.
The victories.
The mistakes.
The lessons.
Life becomes a story—one chapter for every season we lived through.
And often, we realize how much time we spent rushing to the next chapter instead of embracing the one we were in.
Did we fulfill our purpose?
Did we prioritize what truly mattered?
Did we live the life God called us to live?
One thing remains constant through every stage, every triumph, and every hardship:
God was there.
He was faithful.
He was listening.
He was guiding.
He was reaching out His hand.
Through every chapter of our story, He never left.
Sometimes, we spend so much time looking ahead that we forget to appreciate where we are.
Sometimes, you just need to slow down…
