Today is the day!! We got our first duck eggs!🥚

My husband and I have never tried duck eggs before and we were so anxiously waiting for them to start laying! 🦆

Perfect for Sunday breakfast tomorrow ! 🍳

Have you guys had ducks eggs?! What are your thoughts?! Do you prefer them over chicken eggs?!

Happy Wednesday!!🌾

Life on the farm has been good recently! We finally are getting the warmer weather and the animals couldn’t be happier. 🌾

When winter starts, we usually put the chickens in the coop and reopen them back up for spring.
Since we’ve had some pretty good days, we opened the coop for the season and they are loving it. We also couldn’t figure out why we were not getting eggs since daylight savings time, little did we know we were just looking in the wrong spot. 🤣

I’ve been in the kitchen a lot recently trying out new recipes and experimenting a lot. Which some baked goods are available, so if any of you are interested, please feel free to message me.🌾

We also have some new farm animals that we introduced to our farm, yes animals. I mean when you have a farm you can’t just get one animal. 🤣

Any guesses on the new animals? ! 🌾

We will be posting about them in the next day or so!!

Happy Wednesday! 🌾

It’s been a while, with the holidays and the snow storms we have been getting, it has been pretty crazy on the farm.

Being stuck in the house from the storms also has its advantages!

I have been venturing out into the kitchen, exploring different recipes. 🥯

Homemade bagels is the new hit around our household!

I can honestly say I will not be buying bagels in the store anymore!!

Happy Thursday! 🌾

I can’t believe Thanksgiving is only two weeks away, with that being said not only is white bread, pumpkin bread with cream cheese frosting available but pumpkin pie and apple pie are also available for Thanksgiving! 🦃

All goodies are made to order! 🥧

Hello everyone! Happy Friday ! 🌾

A lot has happened on the homestead since I was last on here 🌾

Baby boy Leo was born and he is happy and healthy! 🤍

In the kitchen on the homestead I have been venturing out into making different kinds of homemade bread. It’s the best feeling knowing that we haven’t bought bread in about two weeks.🌾

Well our garden started out as a success until the deer found it… better luck next year I guess! 🌾

This past weekend we cleaned out the chicken coop just in time for the colder weather. 🌾

The leaves are changing and the temperature has dropped and it definitely feels like fall over here. I can’t believe that Halloween is right around the corner. I feel like after Halloween all the holidays seem to come pretty fast! 🌾

With that being said, I wanted to reach out to all of you, and if any of you after Halloween, and Thanksgiving, don’t have anywhere to put your pumpkins, or have no way of disposing of them we will take them! 🌾

Our chickens and goats love them! It’s the perfect treat for them! 🌾

I hope everyone has a great weekend and I will keep you guys updated on stories. 🌾

Happy Friday everyone!

Lots of cuddles, baking, chores, and happy news happening over here on the homestead. 🌾

We have been so busy, so every free moment is our family time. 🌾

Family time is very important to us. Whether it’s sitting down for family dinner and thanking God for our wonderful life to all cuddling up on the couch to watch our favorite movies. As long as we’re together, that’s the most important part.🌾

We’ve been coming up with many ideas and decisions that we would like to make this coming spring. 🌸

Lots of new plans.🌾
New plans… means change and change is a good thing. 🌾

Take risks.
Get out of your comfort zone and try some thing that you’ve never done before and keep doing it until you have succeeded. ✨

I’ve been making homemade bread now for almost a year… my goal was that I wanted my bread to not only look appetizing but I also wanted the best flavors. 🥖
At first, it took me a few tries, a few tweaks, and a few fails… but finally after a year later. I did it!

Not only did I get it to look perfect, but the flavor is finally perfect as well. 🌾

Whether it takes years or months … if it meant to be it will be. 🌾
