Before the weather turns and the cosmos make their final bow, there is one last chance to gather among them.
Every evening at dusk, you’ll find me in the cosmos meadow, cutting stems and making bouquets as the light softens over the farm. This little meadow—filled with billowing cosmos and amaranth—is the entrance to my dahlia garden, and one of my happiest places.
Now, we’re opening the garden gate and sharing that joy with you.

Meet Us in the Meadow

Before the weather turns and the cosmos make their final bow, there is one last chance to gather among them.

Every evening at dusk, you’ll find me in the cosmos meadow, cutting stems and making bouquets as the light softens over the farm. This little meadow—filled with billowing cosmos and amaranth—is the entrance to my dahlia garden, and one of my happiest places.

Now, we’re opening the garden gate and sharing that joy with you.

Join us for Cosmos & Company, a U-Pick Meadow Gathering at Jo’s Farms. Just as we gather in the lavender fields, we invite you to wander among the flowers, pick a bouquet of your own, and make a memory along the way.

Flower picking is $20, which includes a beautiful bouquet of cosmos and amaranth or sunflowers (while supplies last) A few of my beautiful darling dahlias may be added for a bit extra:)!!!

For us, U-Pick has always been about more than the flowers. It is about gathering together, slowing down, and finding joy in the moments we get to share.

Come spend a little time in my happy place—and take a handful of it home.

Here, among hanging bouquets of dried florals and the treasured creations I’ve brought home from Europe, our plants will find their place.

Soon soft winter light, and memories of summer will keep one another company.

I love that thought.
A flower’s story needn’t end when summer does. Sometimes, it simply takes on a quieter kind of beauty.

At Jo's Farms that story carries from the garden into the flower shed, the greenhouse, the shop, and the new potting shed.

I am crazy about dried flowers and dried flowers are simply gardens gone to dream.

A little sunshine, a little Picasso, and a potting shed gone wonderfully to dream…

Where flowers, French savoir-faire, and Marie Christophe’s joyful sculpture meet.

I’m so honored to be featured in Albuquerque The Magazine, on newsstands today—beginning with a full-page celebration of the extraordinary sculptural creations of Marie Christophe, photographed in my atelier.

Drawing on a career shaped by Fifth Avenue, Paris, and Provence, I’ve created Jo’s Farms as a living emporium of flowers, sculptures, lighting, textiles, handmade objects, vintage finds, and beautifully unexpected treasures.

My shop, greenhouse, flower shed, and potting shed unfold through the garden, each layered with French charm, artistry, and a touch of natural whimsy.

Marie’s sculptural, quietly witty creations sit alongside fresh and dried flowers, stripes, paintings, vintage treasures, and objects gathered during my travels through Europe. I choose every piece for the sense of wonder it brings to a room.

Dried flowers have a way of making a room feel as though the garden has quietly followed you indoors. Their faded, sun-warmed colors and expressive silhouettes carry the garden’s beauty long after the growing season has passed.

This is my lifelong love of French savoir-faire made tangible—a place to discover the handmade, the unusual, and the things that make everyday life feel extraordinary.

Thank you to Albuquerque The Magazine for so beautifully sharing this little world I’ve spent a lifetime imagining where styling, flowers, beauty, sculpture, and the garden meet. It is such an honor to see Jo’s Farms celebrated on these pages, and a joy to invite you to its ever-changing story of a lifelong devotion to flowers, sculpture and beauty which come together beneath the New Mexico sky.

I love amaranth’s cascading, painterly plumes and the energy they bring to a space. Dried, they ask for so little: they hold their shape, deepen in mood, and make even the humblest garden corner feel abundant and alive.

My friend Vanessa Vassar recently photographed me on a ladder, weaving enormous armfuls of dried amaranth through the little glass canopy above our dreamy potting shed. It grows freely across our property, and its deep, velvety red brings a wild, theatrical beauty—especially alongside my favorite stripey Tartan dahlias.

It’s a lovely reminder that some of the most beautiful materials are already growing around us, waiting to be gathered, dried, and given a second life in the ever-changing poetry of the potting shed.

All summer, my Dara meadow was one of the loveliest sights in the garden—dancing with lacy blooms in rich pink, burgundy, and soft shades of purple.
Earlier in the season, I harvested armfuls while the flowers were still airy and colorful. Now, as summer begins to fade, their delicate flower heads dried into lovely sculptural forms—brown, textural, and beautifully unusual. And every bit as beautiful to me as the fresh blooms were. I am gathering the last of the seed heads.

I love pairing them with fresh dahlias from my other garden. There is something so romantic about the contrast: a bloom that has just opened beside a flower preserved by time. It makes an arrangement feel more layered, alive, and full of memory—a little of the present held alongside the season that has passed. Textured, romantic and full of the season’s memory

And when the dahlias begin to fade, I dry them together, so the arrangement becomes something entirely new.

Dried flowers are having a moment, but for me, their appeal is timeless, especially beside a just-cut bloom, still full of life. I am completely enchanted by their ephemeral, wild beauty.

I loved seeing Architectural Digest celebrate lavender interiors

The purple-and-green palette I return to indoors begins outside, among the lavender rows. When I gather a bouquet, I’m always struck by how beautifully the purple blooms sit against their green stems—and how naturally those colors belong in a room.

I bring that pairing home in fresh arrangements, then dry lavender from the harvest so I can enjoy its color and fragrance through winter.

Pillows are another way I keep the palette close, especially when there’s no bouquet to pick.

Adam & Viktoria Sweden’s hand-dyed velvet appliqué pillows on Belgian linen have the richness I love. Trellis Purple, New Kyoto Thistle, Japatch Purple, Painted Lilac Velvet, and Pastille Purple bring different shades of lavender, lilac, and plum into a space. I pair them with garden greens for a look that feels collected rather than coordinated.

I use these pillows throughout my home, even in outdoor garden spaces.

Changing them with the seasons gives a room a fresh feeling while keeping the pieces I already love.

From the lavender field to the living room, purple and green always feel like home.
