Ok, so it wasn't our best finish today but we did have fun and put forth a decent effort. Our appearance scores were great, thanks to my new garnish chef Amber. The taste scores were pretty bogus, one said we used too much mustard?? (We didnt use any for this contest), another said there was too much Creosote, say WHAT????? The new comment cards helped a bit, but mislead the judge to put down something they have no idea about. We think they watch too much Food Network or BBQ U. and have little concept as to what BBQ is really all about. I'm not saying we had the best plates out there (we were way off our normal this weekend) but......... in all we had a great time!!! Thank you Amber and Darrell!!! Let's do it again next year!
