I am just a girl who started with a few chicks because they made me happy! I didn't even know breeds or the difference in any chicks I brought home. I just picked the ones that I thought were the cutest :) Of course "I was Hooked!" After a few years of raising several breeds I just fell in love with the Silkies, Cochin & Mille Fleur d'Uccle's breeds, they are all such sweeties! Now I am just havin

Okay guys this is Johnny my BB Red beautiful Roo ❤️ I have him for no other reason except for I just love him, he is the funniest sweetest guy. I have needed to find him a new 🏡 for a long time but just couldn’t bring myself to do it since he is literally my favorite little guy!
BUT I don’t raise BB’s and he needs his own little ladies, so I am finally looking for him a new loving 🏡.
He is around 9 or 10 months old.

So I had an exciting surprise! I have a black showgirl hen that started laying (first time) and I let her set on the few eggs she had. My rooster is a young cuckoo showgirl and to my surprise she hatched 2 mottled showgirls!!! A cuckoo roo & black showgirl silkie hen 🙂
So I am still learning all the genetics but I read that both Mom & Dad must have mottled gene in order for this to happen! Can’t say I am unhappy about this ❤️ I love surprises!!
