When you put the effort into your animals, they have a way of rewarding you. 🐄❤️

I’m pretty proud of this one—not just because of the numbers, but because of what they represent.

I’ve always been the one who gets attached to the individual animals and makes sure the little things don’t get missed. Tim is right there with the animals too—graining heifers, scraping, moving cattle and doing whatever needs to be done—but he’s also the guy keeping the equipment running and making sure our crops get planted, harvested and put up at the right time. Because great cows need great nutrition.

Dad oversees so many of the day-to-day jobs around the farm and makes sure all those little things get done that keep everything—and everyone—happy and moving.

And my sister keeps the financial side of things in order, making sure the business behind all of this is taken care of.

We’re not afraid to look at new technology or ideas. We ask one question first: “Will this actually benefit our girls?” If it will, we’re willing to make the investment.

Every day starts with checking the computer, checking the cows and making sure nobody needs us. Their health and well-being are just as important to us as our own families.

Happy, healthy cows make milk. And I think these girls are telling us we’re doing something right. ❤️🐄

And we’re incredibly thankful for the businesses, people, and partners who have believed in us, helped us along the way, and continue to help us make this farm better every day. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

Here's an udder on a 1st lactation girl we didn't keep from going to be milked for a picture. This is her udder. She's insane. She's 76 days fresh giving 109-112 pounds a day with a butterfat of 5.2.
