Looking ahead to the rest of this calendar year and into the upcoming year, I wanted to share a little behind-the-scenes note because I know a lot of you plan your orders with me pretty far in advance.

There’s still just one person behind Sweet Without Wheat, and life outside of the bakery is looking quite different these days. I’ve got several new commitments and a few other things happening over the upcoming year that I have to make room for, too.

I’d love to say yes to every order that comes my way, but I know that isn’t realistic. And I don’t want to get to a point where taking on more orders means I’m not able to give my customers the level of service I want to give them or produce the quality of product I’m proud to put my name on. ✨

So you may notice fewer or more spotty openings on my calendar through the rest of this year and throughout the upcoming school year. That’s really all it is - I’m just one person balancing it all. Just wanted to give you a little context. 💖

The DMV’s first-ever gluten free dessert exchange exceeded every expectation. 💚

We had an incredible turnout, the dessert tables were overflowing, strangers became friends, and EVERYONE kept asking the same question:

“When’s the next one?!”
