... due to a recent very negative experience with someone I helped introduce to Ohiki and longtails, I have decided to go back to private breeder status, which is how I functioned for the first 5-6 years of breeding Ohiki ... this means that I will not be offering access to my work moving forward - for the foreseeable future ... you can contact me for a referral to another breeder, if you would like, and I can assist in that way ... I am happy to tend to my birds without any drama ...

... for whatever stupid reason, I am very shaky today, so I apologize for the blurry photo ... couldn't resist trying to get a pic after giving Silas a lavender bath this morning ... he is under a year old and has a killer tail (the entire length of it didn't quite make it into the picture) and overall stellar feathering traits ...

... one of my "odd balls" ... he was one that looked like he would probably be a cull when he was younger - but there was enough in him to make me want to hold onto him a while longer to see how he might develop ... 8 months old now and his feathers are probably the softest of any cockerel I've ever raised ... his legs are too long, but they are willow ... I have just the right pullet to put him over to correct leg length in offspring ... haven't come up with the right name for him quite yet, but I will definitely be breeding out of him this year ...
