Happy Pride Month! 🌈

I know pride isn’t supposed to be about rainbow food, but as a gay foodie, I am obsessed. This pride heart brookie cake from is my rainbow dreams come true! It’s delicious and I loved that proceeds go to the Trevor Project during pride month.

Pride hits different ever since we adopted our son.
It’s taken generations of work to get to the point where we are even allowed to adopt. I remember being so scared that it would impact our chances, and it honestly probably did, but the birth mom was so full of love.

I want my son to grow up knowing that love is love ❤️

Sushi is the best way to show love 🍣 ❤️

The brunch at blew my mind. All you can eat sushi and Japanese food was unforgetable. The sushi was fresh and I loved the build your own Japanese curry, udon and miso soup section. I had to be forklifted out of the restaurant.

👍 Pro Tip for a DC Foodie - make a Japanese curry udon with tonkatsu. Thank me later.

The best part of being a foodie is making friends and trying new food.

My friend has only ever had ramen once, and the Japanese curry ramen blew my mind! has a little something for everyone. It’s tucked away in a little corner of Georgetown so you can escape the crowds and pricetags.

👍 Pro Tip for a DC Foodie - make sure to ask for your ramen spicy! I totally forgot.

Want to join my toddler’s pizza party?

My little foodie in training is a bottomless pit when it comes to pizza and my wallet can’t keep up! Thankfully has a ton of fantastic pizza deals for the family. These are two of our favorite DMV deals, but they’ve got many more!

🍕 Pizza and Wings Combo for $25.99 includes a large one topping pizza and 9 jumbo buffalo wings.

Life is crazy.

One day my husband is wining and dining me, the next I’m having a sushi date night with my toddler. was the perfect father-son date night! It’s a DMV restaurant. I would usually go with my husband, but they were also super accommodating to my toddler.

We loved their Thursday deal for $3 off sushi! He loved the avocado cucumber roll, and I wish I had gotten another round og the crunchy spicy salmon roll.

👍 Pro Tip for a DMV Foodie - they have a great happy hour deal too! Appetizers are only $10.

Does anyone else always order the sampler platter?

The Pikilia spread sampler from is one of the best Mediterranean spreads I’ve had in DC! The pita is fresh, the muhammara was smoky, the tyrokafteri was spicy, and the pistachio dukkah on the labne was perfection. All the Mediterranean food was packed with flavors, and I can’t wait to come back for more.

👍 Pro Tip for a DC Foodie - don’t let your waiter take away your spreads! I loved adding it to the other dishes I ordered. Especially to dip the flatbread crust.
