Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! After a long hiatus Jeanne and I will be at the Cookeville Farmer's Market this coming Saturday May 10th. We are mere weeks away from having spring vegies for sale, but we will have beautiful potted pansies in 6" pots and 10" hanging pots along with peony bouquets just in time for Mother's Day. We will also offer an assortment of jams from our organic strawberries and blueberries. Of course lets not forget about Jeanne's famous Goat's Milk Soap varieties. We'll also have fresh farm eggs. Come and visit us at the market this Saturday if for no other reason than just to say hello. We're looking forward to seeing you all.

Where do I begin? To make a long story short I originally went into the hospital with pneumonia, which after a brief recovery from that I developed a collapsed right lung. Now I'm at home with a chest tube until my lung heals. Soon hopefully. This is the main reason why we have not been at the Cookeville Farmer's Market. That being said Jeanne and I are willing and anxious to drive to Cookeville on Saturday to deliver produce to anyone willing to pre-order, and if we receive enough orders. Pre-orders will have to be received no later than the Tuesday prior to the delivery date. However, we will not set up a booth. We will simply work out of the back of our truck. Anyone interested please give us a call at (615) 970- 8647 to place an order. What we have to offer this week is as follows: Beets w/o tops $4 / bag, Carrots w/o tops $5 / bag, Yellow and Red Onions $2 / lb or 3lb bag for $5, Garlic in bunches of 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and 1lb, that would be 4,8,12,and 16 dollars respectively, Regular an Reduced Sugar Strawberry Jam $6 / jar, All Natural Homemade Goat's Milk Soap (available in Lavender, Peppermint, Tea Tree Oil scents, and Basic which has no scent) $8 / bar. This offer will start Monday 8/26/24. At this stage it's the best we can do.

Because of unforeseen circumstances we will not be at the Cookeville Farmer's Market this Saturday July 13th. The reason for this is not serious it's more logistical. We'll work out the kinks and be at the market next Saturday. Please be patient with us. We're doing the best that we can to bring our produce to you in a timely and well thought out manner.

Oh yes I forgot the Napa Cabbage $4 / head. Reality check ; as I was walking through the grocery store the other day it became apparent very quickly that those things that were one dollar yesterday are two dollars today. Although we can not predict what the future may hold Pomona Hill Farm will not be jumping on the proverbial band wagon and raising our prices at this time. It , however, is getting difficult to hold that stance when the prices of the things we have to buy to produce the things that we offer for sale are going up daily.

Well here we are again - Blueberry season is upon us, and we have a ton. We can barely keep up with the picking, especially with my limited activity. I'm gaining more and more strength daily, however. Hopefully I'll be back to full tilt soon. Speaking of which I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our friends and family here at home, in Louisiana and at the Cookeville Farmers Market for all the wonderful well wishes and loving thoughts and prayers for my speedy recovery. Well that was a mouth full, but well deserved. Come and see us this Saturday at the Cookeville Farmer's Market. We'll have lots of great produce to satisfy your discriminating pallet. See you there.

Well I guess you all know that we weren't at the Cookeville Farmer's Market last week. Unfortunately I came down with another virus the Friday before: actually the very night before. I had the truck loaded and all ready to go, and then BAM I was hit by a virus from hell. By eight PM I was a basket case. I couldn't breath well, lost my sense of balance, had to be helped into bed. Being late Friday I couldn't go to my Dr., so I suffered through weekend, I eventually went to see the Dr., mainly to make sure I didn't have covid or either strain A or B of the flue. Thank God all were negative. Nonetheless, It's still kicking my %$ #. I am oh so tired of this monthly appearance of some new insidious demon. Accounting for some miracle we will be at the market this coming weekend. So very sorry for the inconvenience.
