Spotted Neck Goat enjoyed green grass and sunshine today after her pen was expanded with some Premier electric fencing. She definitely approves of the new digs.

My black kiko doe recently had a doeling sired by my red dapple boer buck.

This isn't the greatest photo, but she does have a dapple on her hip.

Over at a relatives’ place helping with new babies. Horses were curious, shoving open the sliding door with their noses to get a better look at the nursery.

No animal has as much fun as a goat.

The first-year does had a good time climbing the snow hill. The littlest goat, a 50/50 Alpine/Boer cross named Petunia, was queen of the mountain.

Hank the future goat dog had some fun in the snow. Pretty sure this confirmed the goats’ collective opinion that Hank is crazy.

(Because the goats did NOT like the snow)

Two 4-month-old dappled commercial bucklings are looking for a new home. Father is a flashy black dappled commercial boer buck (photo included), mom is a traditional-colored commercial boer female.

One is brown-headed with dapples on his face. The other has a swirly white spot over his head.

They're friendly and ready for their new herd. Located in North Central Iowa.

Things settled down after a pretty big ice storm a few weeks ago, but it's still producing good things for the goats.

The goats didn't like the rain (all precipitation = bad), but they did like the result -- lots of fallen pine tree branches to eat!
