At the risk of sounding like the finally-out-of-business furniture store down the street, we're going to do one more sale. We are headed to Peterson, Iowa for the Vinestock wine and arts fest Saturday. We came up with some hard-to-resist prices, and figured we better offer them here, too. We've got some Whistle Stop, Edelweiss, Brianna and Orphan Train left. We'll be selling full cases only, and for only $80/case. And then we will be done. We head out on vacation next week, and while we are gone our alcohol licenses will expire. Warehouse sale (across from the depot) this Friday(Oct 6) 1PM to 6PM. And we can't say it enough, thanks to all our friends and customers (that's redundant) for 12 great years.

Well, friends. This weekend is it. Friday and Saturday will be your final opportunity to purchase wine at the depot. Many of our retailers have some Train Wreck Winery wine on hand, but you'll have to go look. We will be open Friday and Saturday from noon-5PM. And we are doing a garage sale (depot sale?) of many of our items. All are priced, and all are OBO. Cash only.

We promised you we'd let you know about the fund raiser. Over the two days you folks purchased 124 cases of wine, for a total of $12,400. Additionally, those who had items autographed donated another $950! Yesterday we took it to Iowa State Bank so it could be deposited in the Kevin Cram Memorial Fund. Well done, everyone. Well done.

By the time we were able to close and clean up last night, we didn't have time to do a final accounting, But I believe we sold about 60 cases of wine yesterday for a 2 day total of 110 cases (or so). Also need to count the autograph contributions and any other wine sales. But not today! We have 3 grandsons playing football, soccer, and baseball in the Des Moines area. Final accounting later in the week. Thank you all so much for your generosity. Welll done.

Several of you have asked about shipping. We don’t ship anymore as we cancelled our VinoShipper account. And doing it on our own is prohibitively expensive/complicated (interstate commerce). And there are at least 16 states we can’t ship to anyway. However, if you’d like to support the cause, you can send a check to The Kevin Cram Memorial Fund, c/o Iowa State Bank, 5 East Call St, Algona Iowa 50511. And thanks

We told some folks yesterday that we were out of Oak Tie, our dry white. Last evening a guy backed out of a purchase of the last three cases, so we will have some Oak Tie for sale today. We sold out of Caboose and Hooterville Express.
We have these wines available today: Oak Tie (dry white); Bloody Run Red (dry red) (considered by one of our family to be the best wine we ever made); Brianna (off-dry white, Jean's favorite); Foch (my favorite); Edelweiss (semi-sweet white); Orphan Train (winner of a gold medal at the Lodi California wine competition); Whistle Stop (sweet red blend). We're happy to put mixed cases together for you.. See you later!

You people! Our customers, neighbors, friends and first time visitors. You bought 60 cases of wine yesterday in our "Cases for Crams" fundraiser. At $100/case you can do the math! What a busy and fun day. Let's do it again today. Opening at 12; Dallas will be there 12-2PM.

A customer asked if Dallas would autograph a football while he was here Saturday (12-2). The answer is yes, he will sign memorabilia as well as wine bottles. For those wanting a football, card, jersey or other item autographed, it will be on a free will donation basis (all going to the Cram family). In the past we have received a $40 donation to the Dallas Clark foundation for autographs. Let your conscience be your guide. And thank you for participating in this fundraiser.

Our special today and tomorrow is cases of wine for $100. That's about half price, and every dime goes to the Cram family. With 12 bottles to the case, that's 12 Christmas gifts for $100! Or gifts for your employees. Or your bosses, if you want to score some points at work. We still have Caboose, Hooterville Express, Whistle Stop, Edelweiss, Brianna, Orphan Train, Oak Tie, Foch and Bloody Run Red. You can get a mixed case.
