The Spring Street Garden aims to cultivate a space that stands apart from the brokenness that inhabits most of Aliquippa, to help the community know that beauty can in unlikely places, pointing to the restoration Christ is doing in broken communities. Spring Street Farm is our first major project in this initiative. The garden currently covers ten adjacent lots located on Spring Street in downtown
Aliquippa and housed flower beds, a veggie garden, a 16 bed community garden, a prayer labyrinth and honeybees. At its core, the Spring Street Garden has been a prophetic work which is manifested outwardly through the transformation of the property and inwardly as we seek the transformation of people by bringing people from isolation into Christ-centered community to bring hope, healing, and a future. Presently, the garden is in the midst of a transition and as we look to 2022, we are hoping for more community engagement!
