I’ve been needing to add a new line of Ameraucanas for quite some time, so we finally made it happen! Along with our new Ameraucana line, we also added some Welsummers—and because you can never have too much fun, 2 Polish chicks joined the flock too! 🐔✨

I can’t wait to watch these little ones grow !💙

Tomorrow we walk for our Heart Warrior—and for every Heart Warrior and Heart Angel. ❤️

If you’re able and feel led to donate, I’d love to say thank you by offering you a horse lesson at Two Ponds Farm. 🫶🏽

Every donation helps support research and brings us one step closer to better treatments—and one day, we pray, a cure. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who has sent Olivia and I kind messages or even offered us Silkies from your own flocks. Your love, support, and generosity have meant so much to us and certainly have not gone unnoticed.
We’re incredibly thankful that we have many grow-outs from our favorite girls we lost. They’ll always be a special reminder of them, and we’re looking forward to watching them grow. 💕

I don’t like sharing the hard things, and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to post this, but it has affected our entire Silkie program.
Two weeks ago, we experienced our biggest loss we’ve ever had with chickens. A predator ripped through the window screen of our locked coop during the night and took every one of our adult Silkie hens. It was absolutely devastating.
The hardest part was watching my daughter, Olivia, lose her favorite chicken, Spirit. Spirit wasn’t just a chicken—she was family. She followed Olivia everywhere, loved being held, and was truly a pet.
Because of this loss, we won’t have any more Silkie hatching eggs or Silkie chicks available for the rest of the year.
Trying to find a little light in such a heartbreaking situation, we’re incredibly thankful we had already hatched and were growing out many chicks from this pen. We also had a full incubator of their eggs that had just hatched before this happened, so a piece of these special girls will thankfully live on.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our farm and our Silkie flock. We appreciate your understanding and hope to rebuild stronger next season. ❤️

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting an incredible family through my Heart Project. 💛

Madysyn and her mom, Shawna, came to visit the farm. Madysyn is a brave young warrior who has been battling leukemia. Thankfully, she is now in remission. Leukemia is a cancer of the bone marrow and blood, where abnormal blood cells grow uncontrollably and crowd out healthy blood cells.

This family has walked through more than most of us could ever imagine. Hearing that Madysyn was finally cleared by her doctor to begin enjoying more “normal” childhood activities was such a blessing—something many of us take for granted.

Madysyn hopped on Molly with so much courage and confidence, and it was a joy to watch her smile. We ended our visit with one of her favorite activities—art! 🎨 She painted Molly into a beautiful masterpiece.

To everyone who believes in the power of prayer, I would be so grateful if you would keep Madysyn, Shawna, and their entire family in your prayers. Pray that her body continues to heal, that she remains cancer-free, and that she gets to experience all the beautiful moments of childhood that she has fought so hard for. 💛🙏

Sometimes a horse, a paintbrush, and a little time on the farm can bring healing in ways words never could.
