Happy Father’s Day to the handsome Briar Daddies!! It is so fascinating watching you care for your babies… Salty-Boy is protective and diligent. Indy is welcoming and kind. Sprucey is gentle and loving.

Tj (aka Trixie, aka Big Daddy Dad) is our daughter’s hero and best friend. She loves learning new things from him, taking tractor rides, kicking back with him, following him everywhere. She’s his little shadow, sidekick and partner in crime. Watching them grow together is a pure joy to me; the experience of watching a man be a father 💕

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there doing their thing for their babies, for their people, for their flocks and for their herds! We see you and we honor you today and every day.

I’M NOT ALLOWED OUT INTO THE WORLD ALONE!!!!

But actually… This is Locust. He was an anticipated addition to the herd lol he will be siring beautiful, registered kids in the years to come. I really enjoy my boys. They have a ton of personality and I’m very excited to see what he brings next year. For now, he will just be a perfect sized partner in crime for Miss Ella. Too bad he’ll have to wear a goatie condom 😂😂😂

Anyone ever tried planting a vegetable garden with 8 (basically) full grown turkeys up your ass? 🙋🏽‍♀️ They’re like little puppies that just don’t know how to entertain themselves yet. So curious. Zero chill. 🙄🤪😂

So this particular Turk is very persistent with his/her escapes. (S)he also will not go in the turkey house at night and prefers to roost directly above the door. This behavior leads me to believe this he/she is actually a tom. He appears to have a high flock protection drive. Not necessarily a bad thing to have around 🤷🏽‍♀️🦃

Goats just love a beautiful day…. They go about their business and are so relaxing to watch.

The meat birds on the other hand… HATE being hot. They go into hiding. Today’s bomb shelter is the goat pen apparently. The goaties are going to be FURIOUS when they come in for the night to find roommates.

Cant wait to have to relocate 60 feral chickens at bedtime 🤦🏽‍♀️
