Looking for a patio in Uptown Dallas? Look no further! The Henry has delicious food and drinks in a cute little part of town!

For dinner, we had the spicy chicken sandwich and seared ahi tuna entree. The chicken sandwich was lightly breaded, with the perfect amount of crisp, and not too spicy. The ahi tuna was accompanied by spicy coconut lemongrass broth that really made the dish a 10 out of 10!

For drinks we had the maple old fashioned and almost naked margarita. Both were smooth and refreshing. Highly recommend!

One more post from our Houston trip because it was that good! ☕️ If you are in The Woodlands area, you MUST stop by Sweet Paris for coffee and a quick bite to eat.

We had their iced sugar free vanilla latte that was delicious! Not too sweet but just enough to get the day started. For food we had their original breakfast which included scrambled eggs, bacon and the most amazing flakey crescent I’ve ever had! We also got The Houstonian crepe which was filled with mozzarella, bacon, sausage, potatoes, scrambled eggs, & fresh jalapeños. Need I say more? 🤤

Little late on this one, but last week we enjoyed Refuge Steakhouse and Bourbon Bar in The Woodlands! We did the bone in rib-eye with mash potatoes and Mac & Cheese. (These are musts at any steakhouse) The food was amazing, the steak was flame cooked so had a smokey flavor to it, but was still medium rare on the inside! Mac was cheesy and delicious and the garlic mash potatoes were perfect! On top of that, we had some delicious cocktails and the live music kept us there much longer then we should have!

Happy Election Day! We decided to get out of the house and grab a quick bite to eat in Mckinney. What better place to go than E.J. Wills Gastropub??

They have great Tuesday specials such as $7 wings, $3 wells and $3 draft beers. As you can see, we took advantage of the $7 wings. They were pretty good (Shark Club still holds the trophy though 🏆 ).

For entrees we went with the Po Boy Shrimp Tacos which were great and filling! We also had The Natural Sandwich (Smoked Turkey Breast, Candied Jalapeno Bacon, and Havarti Cheese with Red Leaf Lettuce & Artichoke Aioli, served on Sourdough Bread). Both very good! Definitely worth the stop if you’re in the area!

Looking for a good brunch spot on a patio? Look no further —> The Common Table has you covered! They have a fun 2000s hip hop brunch every weekend that includes great food and drinks!

We got the buttermilk biscuit fried chicken sliders as an appetizer and it did not disappoint! The fried chicken was topped with honey jalapeño jelly that had the perfect mixture of sweet and spicy. Definitely give it a try!

The other appetizer we got was the three little pigs which was three different kinds of local sausages. We were not impressed with the breading on the kolaches but the meat inside was good.

For entrees, we went with the classic chicken and waffles along with the breakfast flat bread. The chicken and waffles were decent but the real winner was the flatbread! It was topped with applewood smoked bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese, peppers, onions & white gravy (drooling yet?).

Since it was brunch, we of course had to get mimosas! I loved that they did not mix the orange juice in for you. So you were guaranteed a full bottle of champagne and able to make the mimosa to your liking. 🥂

Anybody else like to indulge in pizza on Sundays? We do! 😋 🍕

Fun facts on why you should visit Pizzeria Testa:

They are known for their fresh, light and pure, authentic Neapolitan pizza that brings a few simple ingredients together in a way that’s both satisfying and full of flavor. The flour that they use is imported from Naples. The tomatoes are grown in only one place on earth – the rich volcanic soil in the shadow of Mt. Vesuvius. Picked at their peak ripeness, they are less acidic and exhibit a natural sweetness that caramelizes in the intense heat of the wood-fired oven. The cheese they use is mozzarella di buffala (water buffalo milk mozzarella) from the Campania region just outside of Naples or fresh fior di latte is permitted. The meat is hand selected primarily from different regions in Italy. The herbs are hand picked from the herb gardens that surround their patios. The wine comes from boutique wineries in Italy. They tasted 100s of wines and selected a few that would allow customers to enjoy a great wine, that pairs well with the food, at reasonable price. Pretty awesome!

When you come here, you MUST start with the Rosette. We went with the Salami Rosette which is Sweet Salami, Ricotta, Fior di Latte and Basil. The outside had a nice crisp to it and the inside was warm, soft and chewy. The cheese used inside of this is to die for! This puts all garlic bread and mozzarella sticks to shame!

For pizza, we couldn’t decide between red or white sauce so we got one of each 😄🤷🏻‍♀️. We went with the Testa Rossa and Bianca. The Testa Rosa includes San Marzano Tomatoes, Fior di Latte, Basil, Spianata (Hot) and EVOO. At first, we weren’t sure if we were going to love it because we are huge cheese lovers and as you can tell from the picture, it doesn’t look like there is much cheese on top. Boy were we wrong! Their red sauce is so good that you don’t need the pizza smothered in cheese. Plus, the spianata gave the pizza the perfect hint of spice. It was great! The second pizza, the Bianca, includes Fior di Latte, Ricotta and Oven Baked Sausage. This was very light and delicious! They don’t actually use Alfredo sauce for this pizza. Instead, they use olive oil which was great because you could really enjoy the cheese and delicious sausage. My only complaint is that they did not have ranch (yes, even on fantastic pizza I like to dip my crust in ranch). However, I will say that it didn’t bother me too much because the pizza was that good!

Last but not least, drinks! 🍸 We ordered the Italian Daisy and Basil Gimlet. The Italian Daisy is Tito’s, Aperol, and Lime Juice. So refreshing, light, and not too sweet. The Basil Gimlet is Malfy Lemon Gin, Simple, Lime Juice, and Basil. Crazy thing is, I do not like gin and loved this drink! They infuse their gin with lemon which gives it a completely different taste. Don’t pass these two drinks up! Both were fantastic!

⭐️ NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT ⭐️

Stop what you’re doing and make a reservation at CraftWay Kitchen in Plano! On a scale of 1-5 , we give it a 5 and some!

Not only are they taking extra sanitary precautions, but their food is absolutely delicious! We started with the blue cheese chips which is homemade potatoe chips topped with smoked bacon, blue cheese, and chives. We cleaned the plate clean! The chips were light and crispy and the blue cheese really topped it off. Note that you can request a half order which is perfect for two people!

Our waitress, Jen (also known as basic Jen at the restaurant and was AMAZING), brought us out flash fried asparagus and candied bacon as well to try. The asparagus was lightly breaded and topped with lemon caper aioli. Very good and light! The candied bacon was crispy, topped with brown sugar and ancho chili sauce. Would highly recommend all three appetizers!

For our entrees, we chose the daily special, pistachio crusted white fish, along with the fried chicken club, and a side of Mac and cheese.

Their white fish is caught in Lake Superior, flash frozen, and then sent directly to the restaurant. It was light, flaky, and topped with a sweet maple glaze that really made the dish amazing. There was no fishy taste - very fresh! The white fish was $27.

The fried chicken club was topped with smoked bacon, Bibb lettuce, and roasted jalapeño ranch (yum!). It also came with a side of steak fries that had the perfect amount of crisp to them. If you are a sauce person, ask for a side of honey mustard. They make it homemade everyday and it is delicious! The chicken club was $13.

Saved the best for last —> the side of mac and cheese. Do yourself a huge favor and make sure you order this! So cheesy and delicious! I mean, look at the photo below! 😍

Andddd of course we ordered drinks because it’s Friday and date night 🥃 🍸 the hubby got the frozen old fashioned which he really enjoyed! I got the Desperado which was similar to a jalapeño margarita. It was patron silver, fresh agave, and fresh jalapeños. SO good! It was refreshing with a little kick. Not too sweet so I really enjoyed it! Both of these drinks were $12 each.

HOLY PIZZA!!!! 🍕 Stop what you’re doing and go try out our favorite local spot in mckinney! Zin Zen is a wine bar that serves over 80 wines from around the world. They have wine, amazing flatbreads and live music on the weekends.

Every time we visit Zin Zen we always go with their flatbread and homemade bread pudding. They never disappoint! However, given the current circumstances, we decided to do take out. I’m not going to lie - I was pretty nervous about getting takeout because I was worried the flat bread would get soggy. Boy was I wrong! The flatbread still had a crisp to the bottom and was still delicious! We went with their flatbread curbside special which includes: 2 Flatbreads, 2 Side House Salads, Bread Pudding, and a roll of toilet paper for $29.00. You can also add a Bottle of House Wine for a total of $39.00.

The flatbread we chose was the Arrabiata which includes Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Mozzarella, Parmesan-Romano Cheese and Red Onions. 10 out of 10! The mozzarella cheese they use is to die for - it is so fresh! And if you are a ranch person, ask for extra! Their homemade ranch is also delicious!

The Caesar salad was great as well. But the real winner is their homemade bread pudding! The owner makes it himself. I would also give it a 10 out of 10! The bread pudding is a must when you go to Zin Zen!

Overall, I give the restaurant 5 stars for their food and service. Check out their website for more information on brunch and live music.

Who doesn’t love chickfila?! I had their egg white grill breakfast sandwich for the first time last week... OH-EM-GEE! If you are trying to eat healthier and need something quick, try it out! The Egg White Grill is only $3.85 and consists of a breakfast portion of grilled chicken with a hint of citrus, served on a toasted multigrain English muffin with egg whites and american cheese. The egg whites were fluffy, the grilled chicken was very juicy, and they didn’t hold back on the melted cheese 🤤
