One day it's hot and sunny next it's chilled and wet... isn't this April weather?

Tip of the day many of you that may not be aware. Hay more often then straw can spontaneously combust. Once it becomes wet an exchange in the bacteria of the hay or straw changes moleculary causing heat deep in the bale. The magic can cause serious fire to a home structure or animals. When you store hay or straw always store it in a dry place away from heat and when the bale is used spread it's contents, don't leave large clumps. This will help you be a little more fire safe.

Snow a week ago and now its like a spring thaw.... Works for us because warm weather means eggs!

Snow!!! exactly what we needed (on top of the non-melted 18" snow.)

Snowing like crazy here in Pennsylvania. We've got close to 18 inches on the roof of the chicken house. The flock has not been able to "free range" in over a month.

We went straight from warm weather back to cold. The heat is on again in the chicken house and repairs to the pen had to be made due to win. Come back summer weather!
