This is far from our usual content, but our namesake deserves his own special post.
On Monday we said goodbye to Baxter, our white fox. Baxter was my dream dog who found me when I needed him most. Together we went through too many career changes, a few failed relationships that lead to my most successful one, two moves, and the birth of my two girls just to name a few.
His personality greatly outweighed his size. He thought he was the most ferocious Rottweiler, polar bear, artic fox, piranha mix and you could not tell him otherwise. He was a lover of all people and thought all other creatures were beneath him, although he probably only loved people for “de pets”.
Life won’t be the same without our expert jammie stylist or our official zucchini and cheese taste tester. Our home has been way too quiet without his tapping toes and huffs of disapproval.
Even after 16 amazing years together it still doesn’t seem long enough. I will forever miss you Baxter man. Until we meet again.

Today, I had the honor of creating bouquets for two retiring teachers at Allentown High School. This was an amazing full circle moment. Allentown High School was where I student taught just a few years ago. Had I never taught there I would have never fallen in with the town I now get to call home.
