NEBRASKA BRAND COMMITTEE OPENS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SEARCH
Interim Executive Director Appointed
At its regularly scheduled public meeting in Valentine, Nebraska on June 10th, the Nebraska Brand Committee appointed Tom Hughson as its Interim Executive Director. The action became necessary as a result of the resignation of the Committee’s Executive Director, Don Arp, effective June 1, 2026.
Hughson is a longtime employee of the Nebraska Brand Committee and currently serves as its Chief Investigator. He will continue to fulfill the duties of Chief Investigator during the interim Executive Director appointment.
The Committee directed NBC staff to commence the process of posting, recruiting, identifying and selecting the Committee’s next full-time Executive Director. Position description will be available through multiple online job sites and on the NBC website. After selection by the Brand Committee, pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. § 54-192 and LB1187, the appointed candidate will be subject to approval of the Governor.
About the Nebraska Brand Committee
