Woodworth Ranch •AQHA Ranching Heritage Breeder
•Producing American Quarter Horses with excellent conformation, stamina, disposition, & versatility.
•Alliance, Nebraska

Woodworth Ranch is a working cattle ranch located in the panhandle of Nebraska, northeast of Alliance where the hard grass meets the Sandhills. We are a proud Ranching Heritage Breeder. Woodworth Ranch horses are eligible for the AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge. We raise and sell American Quarter Horses that have the proven capability to perform in and out of the arena: whether it is on a working cattle ranch, barrel racing every weekend, a horse for the show pen, or a horse to take care of you on the trails. We strive to produce horses with outstanding conformation, intelligence, stamina, and disposition. Our horses are raised in Sandhill’s pastures where they travel the hills and develop natural muscle and stamina. Our stallions are not only bred for cow sense but also for speed. Our senior stallions are PR Zans Lil Gunner “Snoopy" and ToughSugarBars Louee "Louee". And our new junior stallion JG Smart Lil Colonel "Suede", with his first foal crop arriving in the spring of 2025!

Sugar Bars Legacy Sale- Woodworth Ranch- Lot 22X- Colonels Lucke Spark

I was planning on keeping her and then her sister "Mocha" got hurt! So now Lucke gets to come to the sale. Their dams are FULL sisters, so their pedigrees are a carbon copy of each other! "Lucke" brings together some great ranch horse and performance horse bloodlines. Her sire is our new stallion- JG Smart Lil Colonel aka “Suede” a 2021 Buckskin Roan. This year makes year two of “Suede” babies, and he did’t disappoint. He’s out of a daughter of Smart Little Jerry who has NCHA earnings of $197,389 and produce earning in excess of $2,800,000. His pedigree has numerous great horses including Colonel Freckles, Doc Olena, Freckles Pl***oy, Docs Hickory, etc. He has a phenomenal disposition, is smooth, thick muscled, solid feet/legs and so pretty! To add to this beautiful buttermilk buckskin filly; we introduce her mama, Lucky Sugar Sparks a gorgeous bay daughter of Im Lucky Today & Kahoola Sparkle. “Lucky” was my boy- we purchased him as an aged stallion, he had such a personality and had such respect for his people. Her dam a Mr Sparkle Bar/Devil Cat Dancer bred mare, came from Jim and Joni Hunt of the Open Box Rafter Ranch- S.D. Miss Lucke will load and unload, and has several weeks of groundwork. “Lucke” is eligible for the AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge & current on worming. Watch our page, Woodworth Ranch for current photos and photos of sire and dam. Please feel free to with any questions-Kim at 308-760-4534 or Sheri at 308-760-4598.
