It was a very flower filled week here at Cedar Ridge!

We had our usual drop off at Wagner’s Market earlier in the week. I had a nice large harvest Sunday that made for some really nice and full bouquets that went out. It’s always fun to go out and see what’s new in the field to use in bouquets. This week some dill came in handy that made a super cute filler.

Then, we had a Harvest Valley drop off on Friday. Before I was done at my next stop, I got a call that the bouquets had all sold but two. In under an hour!

So, went back out with another restock Saturday morning! Go Harvest Valley!!!!

Im loving these fun color combos for the bouquets this week. There was some fun frosted grass explosion from my farmer friend Mary that went into some of the bouquets this week too! 😘

The seasons are definitely changing, and this week starts the chore of taking out spend annuals,cleaning up the rows, w**ding, and preparing the soil for next year. It is crazy how fast the growing season goes!

Once the tunnel was finished being built in the late spring, I jumped straight into summer farming, planting, irrigation, seeding, the list was never ending. So the tunnel sat. And grew w**ds. đŸ« 

Now with fall coming up, I have some overwintering I wanted to try out, so it was time to get her cleaned up and ready! With some very amazing help from my parents, husband, and kiddos, the tunnel is up and fully functional! (And w**d free 😅)

I’m so excited to see the tunnel in the spring with all my overwintering projects and freshly planted early cool season flowers. Having the tunnel for season extension and a place to start seeds is going to be such an amazing addition to the farm.

This project has been a long time coming, and I’m so happy and grateful I get to finally put it to good use! 😊

This weeks bouquets headed out to Wagner’s Market earlier in the week.

The second succession of Zinnias are doing amazing, just as the first one is looking tired and diseased
 Time to start flipping beds. And it’s nice to have all that hard work and planning pay off.

And the dahlias, oh the dahlias!!!! They are pumping out the blooms! I’ve harvested more in these past couple of weeks than I did all season last year.

It’s crazy what crops shine each year. Last year none of them did really with that drought. 😭. This year the hydrangeas and dahlias are putting on a show!
