Even a small stone can make ripples I guess.

Salty Stash has been on a rollercoaster the last 1.5 years with our relocation, renovation, etc.

We always focus on customer experiences and putting our best foot forward but sometimes we question ourselves.

Thank you guys for helping appear in Virginia Living Magazine’s “best of list” again.

We are amazed to receive this attention.

You all are fantastic.

Thank you for making our day!

Come stay with us.

We finally got around to doing the paper work to get our interstate signs back up.

We had them keep our signs from the Dublin exit 98 to be reinstalled on I-81 but on exit 89A. Iron Heart Winery will appear on this attraction sign too.

They have to erect a new exit sign for the exit.

Did we put exit 89A on the map? Nah… that was RJ RANCH!

We need another week… the liqour/wine gods are thwarting our efforts.

Sorry guys.

We will reopen 2/14/26.

Long story, short:

We won’t be opening this weekend 2/7/26-2/8/26

For the readers. Here’s why.

What’s that a pic of?

That’s what we call a dime holding up a dollar! 🤣

But really, it’s a sign.

Joanna Gaines and I have been insanely torn on opening tomorrow due to yucky weather, mud covered parking lots, ice mounds, frigid temps.

We were hustling hard all week to get the tasting room ready, cleaned, restocked.

BUT… for some reason, the gods have done everything within their power to keep us from opening. One mechanical failure after another; really odd failures too. You’ll just have to believe me, it’s been nuts.

We finally fixed everything, cleaned like banshees… buttoned it all up.

I went to go move the semi trailer that’s blocking our entrance after everything was loaded and the trailer’s glad-hand (airline connection) broke off in my hand , then when attempting to fix that, the airline itself snapped…

Could we work to fix it tonight? Yes.

But sometimes you just have to say the “HECK WITH IT,” listen to the universe and just go home, drink a beer and eat dinner with your beautiful wife.

Saltydad would say, “it’ll wait til tomorrow…”🤣

We won’t be opening back up tomorrow but soon for sure. Sorry guys.

Professor Baker contacted us this summer with a crazy idea!

He wanted to roll a barrel a long distance to see if it impacted the spirits positively.

After letting him roll a full barrel at the farm, he realized, that wasn’t feasible. Not to be outdone, Matt went back to the lab with students and designed a rig to roll a barrel continuously for a year.

We delivered an empty barrel to his lab today for test and tune before bringing the outfit back to the farm to be put into service!

Thanks for including us in this weird idea! We love WEIRD stuff!
