It is with deeply saddened hearts that we have to post about the passing of one of our own.

If you’ve been following sunny swamp acres for sometime, you’ve seen him in 80% of our pictures.

Gus passed away on Friday after an unexpected accident. He was surrounded with love and wagged his tail for his people until the end.

The bird dog that was best friends with chickens.
The shot gun rider for every goat buying trip.
The biggest cuddle bug I’ve ever met.
The pup who always had a comforting way about him even when he didn’t understand.
The boy is who had more energy than known to man.
The best big brother to the pups, the goats, and the kittens.
The dog who ruled the neighborhood and was loved by every kid on the road.

364 days were not enough time with you but always will be the best time in our heart.

It will not be the same without your playful nature and goofy ways.

We hope you have all the blankets, toys, and places to dig holes up there in doggy heaven. I know that rainbow bridge left your heart so excited. We hope you got all the puppy treats for your first birthday 💜

We would like to remind you all, to hug your animals a little tighter tonight anything can happen in the blink of an eye.

We also would like to say a huge thank you to our neighbors the sweet angels who found Gus and were able to keep him comfortable until we could make it home. Our hearts are forever grateful to you. ✨
