Maleah sold her 2026 Market Steer and Market Hog today at the Tyler County Fair Livestock Auction. We would like to thank McKim Creek Excavating LLC (Kirk Proctor) for purchasing Maleah’s Market Steer and Perkins Oil and Gas (Gary Lancaster) for purchasing her Market Hog. Your support is appreciated more than you know!
We would also like to thank C&R Livestock (Chase and Reba Bartrug) for sponsoring and additional $500 towards her Market Steer.

We have to give a shout out to this young lady. Maleah has really done a super job with her animals this year. She stepped out of her comfort zone again and raised a market steer. She had a bad experience with her steer in the ring two years ago that was no fault of her own but scared her. This year she absolutely rocked it. She took 1st in her class in showmanship and made the final drive. We are very proud of her for overcoming her fears and getting back in the ring.
She did excellent with her pig as well. She will be selling both Saturday morning at the Tyler County Fair market sale! Hope to see everyone there.

Well it’s been 10 months of raising and preparing! Tomorrow is weigh in day and she’s ready for the week. Maleah will be showing a market hog and a market steer this week. We are hoping for a cool week and look forward to seeing all the kids with their projects this week. Good luck young lady!

Well, after needing to upgrade for a few years to a bigger baler, I finally found a deal I couldn’t turn down. Been over 3 weeks waiting to cut hay to use it but finally got to bale some hay up today with this new John Deere 450e baler. Let’s just say after today I’m not sure what I ever did without a baler with a monitor. I zipped right through that hay and didn’t end up with a stiff neck from looking back constantly to do everything manually! Thanks to the wife for supporting this expenditure and my farming. This thing made some great looking 4x5 bales today!

Amanda and I had the privilege in being one of the sponsors for a “Climb the Ladder” race in the Hotmod class Saturday at Tyler County Speedway that was organized by the Magyar Family! This weekend was the “Giving Cancer the Black Flag” event at Tyler County Speedway. Congratulations to the winner Jason Todd.

Might make a farmer out of her yet! She was trying her hand at calf taming today! Little mineral and salt on the hand did the trick. This curious guy couldn’t resist.

She has her 2026 Tyler County Fair Market Hog! Thank you Pethtel Show Pigs for another great market hog. Let the months of leading her steer and walking her pig begin.
