Good morning from the Winona Farmers Market -- located today at the Merchant's Bank parking lot between 2nd & 3rd Streets in Winona. We are here today with another batch of our organic rhubarb, our organic-fed farm fresh eggs & our organic microgreens. Today's microgreen varieties include pea shoots, radish, broccoli, spicy mustard, wheat grass, sunflower & scallion.

Are you looking for some recipe ideas this weekend? We suggest rhubarb crisp, a veggie pizza, microgreens on a bagel for breakfast & so much more!

Credit goes to Alice's Read and Rise Bakery for the sourdough pizza crust & bagels. They taste delicious with our organic microgreens!

Good morning from the first outdoor Winona Farmers Market of the summer 2026 season.

We have the first of the organic rhubarb for this spring season. We also have our honey fresh from the hives on our farm - spun out this past week. It doesn't get fresher than that!

Of course, we also have our organic-fed, farm fresh eggs and organic microgreens - today's varieties include pea shoots, broccoli, arugula, wheat grass, sunflower and radish.

The sun is shining and the temperature is warming up. Grab a cup of coffee and head down to Levee Park to check out the market. We're here until noon today!

It's been a week since the tornado went through our valley and our clean-up efforts continue. Lots of tree clean-up, tin and shingle pick-up and ongoing roof repairs. We're slowly making progress.

Aside from the clean-up chaos, we still try to take a moment to enjoy spring at the farm... the first flowers are blooming, the native ramps are ready to forage and the first cold crops are growing in the gardens.

Today is also the last indoor Winona Farmers Market at the Morrison Annex from 9am to 12pm. Stop in to stock up on farm fresh eggs & organic produce this morning!

Next Saturday, May 2nd - the Winona Farmers Market moves back outside to Levee Park. Spring is here and summer is right around the corner! We'll see you at the markets!

Thank you so much to our wonderful friends and neighbors who have reached out in the past 20 hours to check that we are okay after yesterday's tornados near Cream, WI.

To our Farmers Market friends at the Winona Farmers Market and Onalaska Farm Fresh Market who knew we lived in the area of the tornado but weren't exactly sure how close we were, it was literally our closest neighbors that you saw on the Eau Claire and La Crosse news reports. I found one of our old farm pictures from many years ago that shows a view of the valley. You can see in our old picture below our farm as well as #1 & #2 where the farms / homes reported on the news are located.

To everyone who has reached out wondering if we were okay -- my parents were home during the tornados but everyone is safe and that is the most important part! We had tree and shed damage, but our damage is minimal compared to our neighbors.

Thank you so much for reaching out! I will update more later but need to get back to the clean-up efforts now.

It's time to get ready for this weekend's winter storm. Step #1 - stop by the Winona Farmers Market this morning to stock up on your fresh produce and eggs!

Step #2 - After shopping, head home and prep for your meals ahead of time in case the power goes out. Fresh salad with hard-boiled eggs on top sounds good to us!

Have you seen the forecast for this coming Saturday night / Sunday / Monday?

My goodness!! If ever there was a time to stock up on good food before bad weather, this is one of those times. It's great that the Winona Farmers Market is tomorrow 9am - 12pm (well before the bad weather arrives). Come on out and stock up!

We've got lots of organic-fed farm fresh eggs and organic microgreens. Get some of both at the market, hard-boil the eggs when you get home and you'll have the perfect power-outage ready meal... a fresh microgreen salad topped with hard-boiled eggs. It's always good to plan ahead before severe weather! ;-)
