We're excited to announce the arrival of our BUFFALO TRACE SINGLE BARREL STORE PICK at McFarland W**e & Spirits!

This marks our 5th barrel selection in just 12 months, following our Weller Antique 107, Weller Full Proof, Sazerac 90 Proof, and Sazerac 100 Proof picks. What a journey it's been!

🥃 THE STORY BEHIND OUR PICK

During our Buffalo Trace barrel selection, we tasted through the original samples but felt there might be something more. So we asked for a fifth sample — something that rarely happens.

Luckily, they made an exception!

And here's where we got even luckier! 🍀

When we first tasted this barrel, it was approximately 8½ years old. Today, it has officially reached the 9-YEAR MARK! 🥃

Frank August continues to impress with Case Study: 07, a limited-release blend of Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Kentucky Straight Rye Wh***ey, finished in Calvados, Martinique Rhum, and Caribbean Rum casks and bottled at a bold 107.4 proof (53.7% ABV).

This one takes you on a flavor journey!

🍎 Nose: Baked apples, ripe pears, toasted coconut, vanilla cream, and hints of caramelized banana.

🥃 Palate: Rich and full-bodied, with layers of brown sugar, dark molasses, brûléed sugar, baked pineapple, and warm rye spice. Cinnamon, clove, and cracked pepper bring everything together beautifully.
