I'm excited to finally announce something that's been six to seven months in the making—my very own single barrel pick.

This is a truly unique whiskey from Patel Bourbon, a brand I've known and believed in for quite some time. It's a newer brand that's been making waves, and after working closely on this barrel selection, I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

The Details:

- 95% wheat / 5% malted barley mash bill
- 9 years, 1 month old
- 120.4 proof
- #4 char barrel
- Finished for 6 months in a Sakura barrel

This is a wheated whiskey unlike anything else I've tasted. The Sakura finish adds beautiful floral notes that complement the natural creaminess and sweetness of the wheat without overpowering it.

From the first sip, it's bright, flavorful, and incredibly balanced. You'll find layers of creamy wheat, soft sweetness, delicate floral character, a touch of honey on the finish, and a subtle licorice note that adds complexity. The mouthfeel is light and elegant—not heavy or overly viscous—which makes it an exceptional summer pour.

Hey everyone! August is officially here, and that means we've got three incredible barrel drops coming your way this month!

First up is Andy's Birthday Bourbon, dropping tomorrow. This is a really special barrel—unique, different, and definitely one you'll want to add to your collection. We'll be posting all the tasting notes tomorrow, and if you'd like to try it first, samples will be available during our tasting hours on Friday.

And that's just the beginning! We've also got our big Bourbon Drop coming up. Loyalty points earned from March through the end of August will count toward that release, with the official announcement coming in early September.

Yesterday was a huge day for us as we officially released our Double Oaked American Light Whiskey—a 19-Year-Old, bottled at a bold 132 proof.

If you remember, last year's 18-Year-Old Old Rick Double Oaked was one of our most successful store picks ever. After seeing how much everyone loved it, we went back to Cox Creek and asked if they had anything that could top it.

They didn't disappoint.

This 19-year-old is a sister barrel to last year's release, and from the moment we tasted it, we knew it was something special. It has that same incredible viscosity and that roller coaster of flavors we loved so much—layers of honey, maple, to***co, leather, figs, raisins, and so much more. Every sip reveals something new.

We couldn't be happier with how this barrel turned out.

A huge thank you to for being such an incredible partner and host throughout the process.
