We had our first batch of chicks hatch this week. These 12 chicks (yes, 12… impossible to get them all in one photo) are headed home with a family we’ve sold to two years in a row. Makes me happy to see return customers!

We currently have 9 Sebastopol goose eggs in the incubator. 5 are due to hatch within the next few days. Fingers crossed the hatch goes well! 🤞🏻

We are heading into our third year as a registered business!

From our first year in 2024 to last year 2025 our profits quadrupled! We did over 30 sales. Super eggciting!

Last year we offered duck, turkey, and chicken eggs for consumption and for hatching. We regularly sold eggs to a local general store as well as some family and friends. We also offered ducklings, chicks, and turkey chicks.

Last year we also did a round of 55 meat chickens, which we processed ourselves. We look forward to doing meat chickens again this year. The benefit of knowing where your food comes from is so nice.

Last year we invested in Sebastopol geese and plan to offer their chicks this year. We also hope to breed our Lionhead Lop bunnies.

As far as our goats go… well, they’re still essentially just fluffy snuggly lawnmowers. We hope to breed them next winter.

We’re dusting off the incubator and hope to start loading it up soon 🐣 stay tuned for updates!

This year we closed out hatching season by letting some broody hens hatch eggs.

These hens successfully hatched 8 chicks. The process was so fun, exciting, and cute!

These chicks are claimed and will be heading to their new home soon. But in the meantime, we get to watch these hens mother their chicks. So cute!
