We had a great time at a local headstart helping with their fall festival. We helped with games, and it seems an enjoyable time was had by all.

Our fall peas are growing, and have managed to escape the deer for now 😆
We will also be restocked with good nature farm peppers tomorrow.

This is what happens when 8 deer decide they want a salad. This was just a small section of 2 36-inch beds full of lettuce. Hundreds of dollars in product gone. I don't show this for pity, I show this because it's just one of the struggles for farmers. We know we have heavy deer pressure, but buying an electric fence setup was not in the budget this year with the past confidence that the deer have never bothered the lettuce. Now we know. The remainder of our crop will be planted under cover and away from deer.
