This Cypress tree that Pa is leaned up on is located in Evans Pond on Boothill. His Uncle Ander Ayers cut the trees to make cross ties in the early 1920's. Notice the notch next to his hand, this is where the springboard was placed so they could stand while cutting the tree down.
