I've had people ask me if something I grow is "worth it". Potatoes and legumes have been a couple. Dollar-wise, no probably not "worth it".

But a lot of things I grow because of the fun of it. It is a heck of a lot of fun to dig under the ground after all year of watching the plants grow, to find out what potatoes lie beneath.

It is a heck of a lot of fun to take fresh kidney beans I grew in my own garden, and make chili beans from scratch.

Don't plan to garden for things that are merely "worth it". Garden for enjoyment, garden for the excitement, and the pride to be able to say at the dinner table all the fresh garden things you grew that went into the meal. ❤️🌱🫘🥔

Never thought I would make or like zucchini soup, but here we are, trying to come up with delicious options to use zucchini! And it's amazing. Might add broccoli in later for dinner to kick it up to creamy broccoli soup 😋

This is only 40% 😬. Did I know I should have pinched some blossoms so I didn't have over 400 small sized peaches on my one tree? Yup, yup I did. Did I conveniently forget that this spring because I was a little greedy from not getting peaches last year? Yup, that's me too! 🤣

My now saggy, partially broken tree is not happy with me 😬 oops. Natural pruning 🤣

Will I learn from my mistakes next spring? 🤷‍♀️
