We have Muscovy ducklings! 18 of them. 😳 Mama is Lila, who herself was from a clutch of 17. She has some lovely barring, though it fades with time so it’s hard to tell now. We are hoping to keep some barred babies from her. Let us know if you’re looking for some fluffnuggets! This clutch is pinioned, and we are expecting another clutch soon—can leave them full flighted if desired. Duck eggs are absolutely divine eating.

Here’s the crew during a chicken tractor move. They love the sunshine! And I love how the broilers are doing. We will be processing most of them on 7/2, after we sort which ones to keep for breeding. Let us know if you’d like some farm fresh chicken!

We use a Surge milker. Pru is happy as long as the grain keeps coming!

We’re back!
It’s been a wild couple of years. I had some sudden and serious health issues in ‘21 and it took time to recover and get everything straightened out. Thankfully, I’m feeling better than ever!

This year’s offerings are:
Muscovy ducklings (expected mid June)
Farm fresh whole chicken (mid June and again in late summer)

I’m trialing McMurray Hatchery’s Delaware broilers and I’m just delighted with them. I’d like to hold back some breeding stock for next year as well. Hopefully we can offer them on a regular basis!
