2024 was quite the year for our little farm. We produced many quality wethers, but our pride and joy Pop Smoke gathered 3 overall champions and took 2nd Land of Lincoln at the Illinois State Fair. One of our homegrown doelings, Bad MamaJama picked up a Reserve Overall Champion and many class wins this year. Our other does did very well in their respective classes as well as our other retained wethers. Looking forward to the 2025 kid crop and their potential along with the does coming into their yearling years. We have been very blessed by so many great mentors and friends who have helped us along the way to reach these successes.

We’ve officially made the decision to sell one of our bucks. GFXL Critical Threat. Proven sire. Easy to handle, I normally do all the work with him. Parker handled him for pictures. The doe kid we retained in his first breeding season is absolutely stellar and he’s bred about half our herd for this season. Settled at 100% blood testing each season. We are just focusing more towards the wethers right now, so he deserves a home that’s going to maximize the quality of breeding he has. Last picture is the doe kid we’ve retained.

It’s been a heck of a season for one of our wethers. PopSmoke has gone champion 3 times this year and placed at the IL State Fair. We’re very proud of this dude that we made. Hoping to get him in a few fall shows yet to finish his year in the heavyweights.

This year we offered something different for Valentines Day. We offered goat snuggling sessions for the public and the response we received was outstanding! We met so many wonderful people and our kids got loved beyond means. We look forward to doing this again next year and maybe something at Christmas time as we had that mentioned several times over the weekend. Thank you to everyone that came to check out our operation, ask questions and love our goats like we do!

When you didn't know what kept you looking at this doe kid every day since she was born, til she went outside today. She's a pretty cool wether type doeling. Pretty excited to watch her growth and when the weather is better a chance to fit on her and see what she's hiding.

What a day! We have worked our butts off the last 4 years to start seeing results like today. Best show we've had all season and it's the last ABGA show for Parker this summer.
