We had a great year at the fair. Chickens, goats, and sheep were shown and the kids had a blast. We are working on sending our current flock of sheep towards the butcher so we can swap to Katahdins after the winter.

Everyone got a visit from the vet so now they can go enjoy the pasture! 5 new lambs for a total of 13 sheep, and 2 new calves for 5 total Dexter cows!

Fully enjoyed our sheep getting their annual haircuts! Always a joy to have Roger come and shear.

Join us at the Clinton County Fair, NY -- the kids have 10 chickens and 6 static exhibits with 4H -- they each have several blue and red ribbons from their work -- but there are over 200 birds, lots of cows, 20+ rabbits and small animals, lots of work from all the clubs, plus the dairy bar all in one building!

Adding to the herd! 4 Dexter cows arrived last night. The bull is in a different pen, but the two moms and calf are with the sheep.

That's a wrap! Four mamas, and four babies! Also the baby chicks have moved to barn and two mamas get to be out on pasture. Rest need another week or so then will be out too!

Spring is fully here -- welcome Speckled to our farm today, still waiting on two mamas. We are also enjoying our 6 chicks the girls are raising for 4H to take to the fair.

We have been so busy making syrup so of course we needed a lamb added to the mix! Snowflake was born on a cold night, but is thriving with mom -- also a surprise as everyone is supposed to be due in April.....
