Dinner is ready! This is one of the Cornish cross chickens we grew and PROCESSED ourselves last year. I tossed in onions, carrots, and some potatoes. Not from the garden, but hopefully soon.

We welcomed 40 turkeys and 7 new piglets this week! Georgina is the sweetest momma. Oh! And our first Wagyu steer!

Organic…what does it mean to you? My mother has had mantle cell lymphoma for 10 years. It has been linked to glyphosates and agent orange. The whole reason for us growing our own food is so we can control what goes into our animals.

However, last year the squash bugs were horrible. This year my green beans have been ravaged. What is safe to use?

In the past I have used diatomaceous earth. This year I have also used diluted pure Castile soap. How do you define organic and still maintain productive produce and meat?

Kris is home! One of the first things he does is burn the huge brush pile!
