First year beekeeping blues. I did tons of research read tons of books and my bees still absconded at in October. The yellow jacket raided the hives. I have been working with our local USDA for replacing the hives next season.

Finally got a chance to check on the bees without cooking to death in the Texas sun. The 100 degree temps did a number on one of the hives. Unfortunately, wax moths got in and my girls left. Hopefully no more causalities!
