Metheglin is the traditional name for spiced or herbal mead, taken from the Welsh meddyglyn meaning “healing liquor.” For centuries, mead makers infused honey wine with ginger, cloves, cinnamon, rosemary, and other botanicals both for rich flavor and for their reputed medicinal qualities.
Here at Happy Half-Orc Meadery in Amarillo we proudly carry on that ancient craft with our Destiny Spiced Mead—bold, aromatic, and true to the old ways.

Friends of the Happy Half-Orc, we are excited to expand our Partner Spotlight series with two strong new local partners now carrying Happy Half-Orc Meadery.

Fast Eddie’s Amarillo is a lively billiards and sports bar known for its pool tables, darts, and easygoing atmosphere. Whether you are shooting a few games, catching the game, or just hanging out with friends, it is a solid spot for good times and cold drinks.

Big Jim’s Pizza Co. is a longtime Amarillo favorite for pizza, pasta, and more.
