The honey is flowing in on these hot spring days! Honestly, we can’t wait for this years harvest… we’re out of honey ourselves. Fingers cross, and look for the honey signs on Mount Pleasant Ave in a few weeks!!

It’s Spring and we’re getting really excited about this years harvest!! The hives are looking strong and ready to start foraging our Ambler Gold Honey.

Follow our posts or drive by the farmstead on Mount Pleasant Ave and look for the “honey” signs and you’ll know when it’s in stock.

I could not wait to get into the hives today. This winter was brutally cold and longer than the last 4 Winters combined, but these girls did not disappoint. Not just surviving but thriving!!!

As worker bees age, their wings become worn and their energy fades. But instead of waiting inside the hive, many leave quietly on one last journey — flying toward the flowers they spent their entire lives pollinating. 🐝

Researchers have observed that older bees often don’t return to the hive when they sense their time is near. This natural behavior helps protect the colony from potential illness and keeps the hive healthier and stronger. Even in their final moments, they serve the greater good.

Some are seen collecting a last trace of pollen, continuing their role as pollinators until their wings can no longer carry them. It’s a powerful reminder that purpose doesn’t simply vanish with age — it evolves. 🌼

Every drop of honey, every blooming orchard, every fruit-bearing tree exists in part because of their tireless work. Their quiet departure among the petals reflects a life lived in dedication to something bigger than themselves.
