Time for a fundraising update! We’re 2 weeks into our summer fundraiser and we’ve raised $620! That’s a great start but we’ve got a ways to go to meet our $2,500 goal! Thank you to teacher Erin and these 4 awesome 7th graders from for filling our pantry yesterday with donations from Weavers Way Co-op! We love when our local students help us fight food insecurity in our community!

We had a great time this past weekend celebrating one year of Ambler Community Fridge! Thanks to all who have supported us along the way. We’re excited to let you know about our summer fundraising effort, where we’re hoping to raise $2,500 to feed our Ambler neighbors in the next 3 months! This will help sustain us until the giving season begins in the fall, and we know with our amazing community’s help we can surpass our goal! Three weeks from today, we will be celebrating one year of the re-opened Ambler Community Fridge! Please join us at the Ambler Mennonite Church, 90 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave, for our free community luncheon (donations gratefully accepted if you are able) on Saturday, May 16th at noon. Then, stick around immediately after at 1:30 p.m. for a mutual aid market sponsored by , where you can meet even more neighbors, finds new ways to share your talents, and come together in community!

It’s hard to believe it, but we have been officially reopened for one year today! What an incredible year it’s been, with countless neighbors fed and so much community built and nurtured. Thank you to every single person who supported us this year, from our volunteers and community partners to our shoppers and neighbors who look in on the fridge for us every day. We couldn’t have done this without the support of our amazing hosts at Ambler Mennonite Church, our partners at Weavers Way Co-op, We Care, Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard, Inc. , Ambler Community Garden and so many more and our dedicated steering committee!
Now, save the date for our belated birthday party and free community luncheon on May 16th at noon. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all!

We’re so grateful to our neighbors at Ambler Church Of The Brethren and We Care for hosting an amazing Youth Mission event this afternoon to fill our fridge! Together, local youth and families came together to prepare 160 lunch bags (each with a turkey/cheese sandwich and a bag of chips) and 40 pints of chili! That’s lots of lunches sorted for the week ahead!
