As we work through transitioning Totally Sconed out of state, I'm finding myself with a little extra creative time—and I've decided to spend it doing something I've completely fallen in love with...

I'm not launching a full-time bakery (yet 😉). Right now, I'm building my portfolio, pushing my creativity, and seeing where this journey takes me.

We get a lot of phone calls about when we are going to open up again.

Truth is I am unsure.

I have to take my time this time around. I cannot do it all by myself. I cannot pair up with people who don't share the same vision.

Some days I just want to call it. I am spending time with my little girl and my teenagers. I am getting sleep. I am baking again.

Some days I want to lean in because I love my people so much. I love the looks on your faces when you take a bite. I love hearing your stories. Holding your babies. The hugs! The smiles!

I am looking for something better but I am not rushing it.

Apparently 25+ days isn't enough to get minimum orders and its also appropriate to wait until the day before to say you'll pay the difference and we should reimburse you for it.

Got it.

People. We are 100% willing to do pre-order if money is tight. However, it is your responsibility to push those orders for YOUR event.

Imagine being called the day before when you would need to hit the road that you can NOW be paid. When the initial conversation started out with, I DON'T HAVE THAT TYPE OF MONEY. PLAYED IN OUR FACE. Then have to audacity to think that we would not protect our best interests for a MAYBE.

FOOD for 150 people

NEEDING TO BE DONE WITHIN 3 HOURS.

We’re taking a temporary step back from restaurant operations.

Between situations like this and ongoing landlord issues that have created conditions we’re not comfortable operating under and could put us at risk with city compliance—it’s clear it’s time for a reset.

We’ve been running hard, and moving forward, we’re prioritizing: better boundaries, better work-life balance, and better-aligned partnerships.

We don’t cut corners, and we won’t operate in conditions that compromise our standards.

That said, we’re not going anywhere.
We’ll still be available for catering and occasional pop-ups as time permits.

This pause is intentional—so we can come back stronger, more structured, and fully set up to do things the right way.

We appreciate those who understand and continue to support us.
