This friendly young horse is looking for his next partner. With naturally flowing gaits and an eager-to-please attitude, he will certainly turn heads in the ring while capturing your heart in the barn.
Preacher is currently showing at Training Level, having gone to his first schooling show July 2026. At home, he's begun schooling some 1st Level movements, but at his age and experience level, he's still working on polishing up his skills when away from home.
Honest and brave, he oozes potential with a lofty trot and a canter that seems to float despite his drafty size. As we've worked with him to build his strength and balance, he's been a joy to ride and bring along. As he matures and comes into himself with age, he will make for an excellent partner both in and out of the ring.
He stands nicely for the vet and farrier, he trailers, cross ties, all the things. When you're not in the show ring, he can hack out alone or with others (provided you have patience for typical 6-year-old behavior from time to time). He is currently barefoot and turned out in a private paddock, but would do well in a small group with similar-aged geldings.
As an added bonus, before he arrived at our farm, he was harness trained and knows how to pull a cart or buggy. We don't have the equipment to try it out with him, but he's got at least the basic buttons for it if you want to give it a try.
If you're looking for a sweet, sensible-for-a-6-year-old, head-turning gentleman, Preacher is your horse. Priced in the low 5's, may be negotiable to the right home, but price will increase with additional training and show experience.
