As we near 500 bales of hay made so far this year, I heard a statement on the radio yesterday morning that describes this summer perfectly.

"Last year you couldn't buy a rain and this year you couldn't sell a rain."

Thank you to everyone who has helped along the way. It's been fun, rewarding and challenging to say the least. It's hard to believe it's almost August!

It's almost like we've been dealing with the deadliest virus on earth for years........none the less, the baby calves set to arrive in a little over a month with be marked safe!!!

I have had a hankering for a pastrami sandwich aka the Rachel for a few weeks. The thought of going out to eat gives me goosebumps because our kids would make that a literal nightmare ;) I asked Kody for a brisket and found a recipe that sounded delicious. The recipe called for a 3-4 lb brisket…. Kody gave me a 12+ lb (the scale errored out).

It was SO good. The best part is we know exactly how that animal was raised and fed.

I documented the process. Pictures don't do it justice!

We are stocked up on Black Angus hamburger, both grass fed and grain finished. One pound packages. 90/10. Enjoy the vacuum sealed packages that don't leak while thawing!! We are willing to help get it to you any way we can! Grass fed- $6/pound. Grain Finished $4.50.

If you are thinking about ordering a 1/4, 1/2 or whole beef, we encourage you to contact us sooner than later to assure you will get your beef when you would like. We are currently booking for March and already looking into April!

Thank you very much for another great year in 2021. We wouldn't be able to do what we do without the support from all of you! We hope 2022 treats all of you very well!

Our calves seem to be growing good, despite the lack of rain this year. This is a Hooks Cornerstone heifer out of a W/C Lock Down cow.

Not sure what to do with a roast, here is a simple link to a recipe we were able to quickly find on Google;

1 3 to 5 pound beef roast chuck, round, or brisket
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
6 cloves minced garlic
1 to 2 cups red wine*
2 cups low sodium beef broth
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 large white onions cut into 2 inch chunks
1 pound baby carrots
1 pound red potatoes cut into bite-sized chunks
1 sprig fresh rosemary
