Black's Heritage Farms

Black's Heritage Farms We are a 5th generation Farm located just south of Ames. We grow corn, soybeans, sweet corn, vegetables, and pumpkins. Besides crops we also raise chickens.

Marketing is done on the farm, at Farmers' Markets, and Farm Stands in Ames and Huxley. We also sell sweet corn and pumpkins wholesale We have laying hens that provide eggs that we have available year around. Our Green Bag Special is on now. 5 dozen Super Sweet sweet corn for $35. Every year we offer this to help you to freeze corn for the wnter. Nothing better than Iowa sweet corn for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. Pick a bag up at our Menard's Stand in Ames, at our Farm, or at the Polk City Farmers' Market on Thursdays 4:30 to 8 pm. Thursday Black's will be at Market with Green Bag Special on sweet corn. Five (5) dozen sweet corn for $35. Great to freeze and enjoy Iowa sweet corn this winter. Sweet seedless watermelon for $9 and Cantaloupe 2 for $4. On top of that we wll have samples of Sweet cornbread made from our sweet corn. Come enjoy the market! 4:30 pm to 8 pm.
