We have 2 stalls open for immediate move-in! Here at GHB, we prioritize quality care above all else.

We are happy to provide personalized care for each horse. What does personalized care look like? It can be soaked grain, 3x per day feeding, additional health checks when needed, and more.

If you have a high maintenance horse that could benefit from a little extra TLC or you are looking for a low-traffic barn, reach out to Mandy for more info!

What makes us different than other barns?

We are a family owned operation with a small herd of well behaved horses. This allows us to provide custom care to each horse and ensure every horse is healthy and happy at all times. Our boarders go home feeling confident that their horse is receiving top-notch care with experienced barn owners.

Are you looking for a laid-back, welcoming home for your horse? Reach out to us for more info on our boarding options.

Photo info: This photo was taken today (we have the best sunrises). It features the oldest member of our horse family, Earl, 33 year old quarter horse who has been in our care since 2020.

Are you looking for a peaceful home for a retired horse or a friendly barn to care for your best friend while you are studying at ISU? If so, look no further!

We can provide quality individualized care for each horse. We offer a quiet environment where we care about the horses needs and happiness more than anything else. We are a private facility that does not offer lessons, camps, or allow outside people at our property. This allows us to focus solely on each horses’ needs and provide a quiet relaxing environment for horses and their families.

GHB is located just minutes from Ames and ISU. Message our page or reach out to Mandy at (812)593-6812 for availability or more information.

The horses are loving their daily pasture time! We have been slowly introducing them back to the pasture over the last week. It’s important to let their digestive systems get use to the grass again before turning them out for a full day.

Everyone had a blast at the Barn Family Potluck on Saturday! Thank you to our boarders for the yummy food and great conversations. By the end of the night, Virgil (resident corgi), was ready for bed!
