Rain came heavy last night. Lost our bridge and all creek fences are down. Only thing holding animals somewhat in place was the size of the creeks. No farm market for a while. We will happily get product across creek if you are in need and will be working on a temporary crossing through the field. We could definitely use the support. The bridge rebuild is far more then we can currently afford. If anyone is skilled in this area we will be looking for options.

Sweet find for us!! While clearing trees and brush for a fence line, we came across an obvious road and creek crossing that leads to the other side of the farm. Until now we have been driving out through our main entrance, down the road to one of our closed gate entrances. Then there was the obstacles of the muddy creek and spring area. Now just a few hundred yards and nice rock path through Mill Creek.

What is different about this pork? Notice the nice red color of the meat. The color is a sign of nutrient density (flavor!!) from natural foraging in large wooded and grass paddocks with only excess grassfed milk and organic grain supplementation.
The nice fat marbling and cap due to heritage breeds is not only delicious but it is packed with vitamin D and other essential nutrients that you will not find in abundance in conventional pork.
As well, you will not find chemical toxins stored in the fat other then possible environmental sources that are out of our control. Toxins are stored by pigs, humans, etc in fat. Did you know, the living body does not want to deal with foreign toxins in the diet and will set aside in excess fat. When you eat calorie rich fat from healthy clean animals your body will use it more efficiently as an energy source. It will not try to store aside in major excess to deal with later.
