Rebel Ruminant Organics LLC Rebel Ruminant Organics is a small scale farm that was started by Chaz, Megan, Otik and Oscoda Self. It was meant to be.

We pride ourselves in raising humane, sustainable and ethical meat. We take pride knowing that we use only organic and Local grains. Bought in December of 2011 by Chaz Self(24) and Megan Coutts(26). Traveling and living on farms around the world the couple decided to move back to Central Wisconsin when they expected Otik, their first son. While living on a small organic vegetable farm Chaz and Meg

an could not have expected the amount of local support as well as the knowledge that was passed on to them. It reassured the two that Wisconsin was paradise and an ideal spot to farm. While they loved living in a yurt(an upscale tent) it was the month of November that changed their lives for ever. With a farm in their price range and a banker that believed in them they made an offer on a Monday and signed papers on Wednesday. The month of December preceded as effortlessly as destiny should be. In the midst of the holidays they got their keys on the 27th and two days later they had their second son Oscoda. Since the purchase the house has been transformed into a livable home and the farm land ready to raise livestock. With one full year of getting to know the land the farm is finally ready to raise happy animals allowing production of they healthiest meat available locally. With 2013 approaching the farm will offer Organic eggs, beef, chicken, turkeys and pork. Keep your eyes and ears open for a CSA in the future!

Fresh thanksgiving turkeys for sale!!!
These are fresh certified organic pastured turkeys that are available for pickup starting Saturday the 19th. We will also be open on Sunday the 20th for those who are planning on leaving and need their turkey on Sunday.
Please email or message if you would like to reserve your fresh turkeys. There is a 20 dollar deposit required to secure your spot. It is a first come, first serve basis on size, and it is $4.99 a pound.
Also frozen vacuumed sealed turkeys will be available in the store starting on November 9th for those who are needing them early.
