🌹🍑 Bloom Journal: This Week at the Farm 🍑🌹
David Austin’s Roald Dahl rose made its debut at the farm this week, and we are completely smitten. 😍
Named in honor of the beloved author, its warm apricot-peach color was inspired by James and the Giant Peach — and it’s every bit as delightful as the story. ✨
The farm is absolutely coming alive right now. Peonies are beginning to burst open, bearded iris are putting on a spectacular show, clematis vines are covered in blooms, and our beloved anemones are still stealing hearts with their vibrant colors and delicate petals. Add in the first flush of garden roses, and every harvest feels like a beautiful reminder of God’s abundance and creative artistry!
And in some extra-special farm news, Farmer Jamie shared a birthday today with a trio of killdeer babies! These long-awaited little companions finally arrived after Mama Killdeer graciously shared the field with us for weeks while tending her nest. 😅 We were thrilled to celebrate the day together with our newest feathered farm friends. 🤣🎂🎉
Spring is giving way to early summer, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. 🌸
Who else can’t resist a peachy rose? 🍑🌹
